Melinda R. Kelly writes stories that live at the edge of myth and memory — where ancient ritual meets distant stars, and love is rarely simple. Writing as M.R. Kelly, she builds immersive paranormal and science fiction worlds shaped by Celtic lore, Southern folklore, and a lifelong fascination with the unseen.

Many of her stories begin as dreams — vivid, cinematic visions that refuse to fade until they are written down. That dream logic carries into her work, creating narratives that feel both intimate and epic, grounded and otherworldly. Readers step into her books expecting danger, longing, layered mythology, and characters who must choose who they are when the world shifts beneath them.

Kelly’s body of work spans dark fantasy, science fiction romance, and speculative poetry, including the Caulbearer’s Stone and Demonbruen series, along with the poetry collection Whispers from the Other Side of the Screen. Each project explores transformation — of identity, power, love, and survival.

Professionally trained in nursing and health science education, she brings a steady hand and disciplined curiosity to her craft. The scientist and the dreamer coexist on every page.

When she isn’t writing, she can be found reading obsessively, tending her dogs, experimenting in the kitchen, or quietly building the next world that will demand to exist.

Welcome to a universe of Sidhé, demons, travelers between stars, and women who refuse to disappear quietly.
